Life in the city
So here I sit, stuck in the Sheraton Manhattan. This has been quite a journey so far, and it is still not over. I came out here for work and thought that a simple four day trip would be pretty event less, consisting only of a couple all-day meetings with new and old clients, and a flight back home.
We are now stuck here in New York because our 6pm flight was canceled. Not only was it canceled, but we cannot get another flight back to San Diego until Sunday so far. The snow caused a complete shutdown of the airport and now we play a waiting game to get back. So for all the good that has come out of this trip, there is just as much bad.
Life in this city is so different than I am used to. The business people are so typical business, the city workers are so stereotypical, and the hustle and bustle is exactly as I would expect for the great NYC. All of this would ordinarily make me hate it, but surprisingly it is one of the greatest things ever. I really do love New York City. Despite all of the challenges we have faced, this is truly one of the greatest cities in the world.
