So, after about a month since we went into the studio, the Ladybeard record is going into mixing. Our good friend Aaron Swanton from Scarlet Symphony is going to be mixing the record for us.

We are very excited to say the least. Download the track below to hear a demo we did of a song that will be on the record.

My relationship with Digidesign is like this: I spend thousands of dollars, and what I get in return is a mostly functioning recording system that does what I like 90% of the time. I have always been pro-digital and think that it is truly a powerful system for recording my own music as well as the bands I record. I really have not had any complaints. Every once in a while it gets a little weird, but in general I have had good luck with it. Then I have a night like last night.

I record drums in our practice studio which is like 12x12x9. pretty crappy sounding room, lots of bass buildup. Here are a couple things that I've learned along the way that have helped us.  I hope this helps you to learn to record drums at home.
