So I made the newbie mistake of what is referred to on the intraweb as "hot linking". As a long time Internet user and newer blogger, I have not fully understood all of "the rules" that the blogger nation have bestowed upon themselves.

For all of the sell-out haters out there, get ready to get your hate on. The Shins are no longer the indie darlings they once were. It is clear based on Billboard chart placement that the time has now come for them to snub their original audience and start writing perfect pop songs. (oh wait, isn't this what they have been doing for a long time?) According to the billboard charts website:

cat dirt sez posted up a new muslims mp3. they are definitely bringing back the dirty, loose rock reminiscent of early 80's punk with an obvious nod to the velvet underground. one of the most refreshing bands to come out of san diego for some time. [edit] lesson learned about hot linking mp3s. my bad.
